To grow the game of lacrosse and create a positive experience for Alpharetta Youth. We seek for our players to learn the game, develop their skills to compete, and focus on building individual character and strong teams through hard work and respect for the game.
The Alpharetta Junior Raiders Lacrosse program is a non-profit organization providing children in our community an opportunity to learn and love the game of lacrosse. Junior Raiders Lacrosse is active year round promoting the sport in a fun, safe and positive manner to boys from second to eighth grade.
Our mission is to develop the skills of young players through their participation in clinics and club teams. We are committed to offering a positive sporting experience to any child who wants to play lacrosse. Our focus is on growing the number of participants, personal growth of the individual players, team performance and the accomplishments of our players on or off the field
While teaching the game of lacrosse to young athletes who wish to play competitively, we also promote the positive life lessons learned through participation in team sports. Coaches work to teach our players the value of:
- Self respect
- Respect for others
We encourage everyone to get involved. Whether you still play lacrosse yourself, played lacrosse as a child, or have no experience at all, your help is greatly needed to make this program the most it can be for the kids.
By working together, youth players, scholastic players, coaches and parents are the foundation for our successes now and in the future.
MESSAGE FROM ZACH ZANONE
PREPARING OUR PLAYERS FOR SUCCESS
As head coach for the Alpharetta High School Men’s Varsity Lacrosse team, it is important that we build the players in our junior program for future high school success.
My goal is to help our players expand their existing skills and learn new techniques so that they are ready to play lacrosse in high school when they graduate from the Junior Raiders program.
PROVIDING YEAR-ROUND OPPORTUNITIES
The Junior Raiders Lacrosse program provides players year-round opportunities as an Alpharetta High School feeder team by:
- Providing intensive individual instruction to develop and grow skills
- Learning our Alpharetta High School lacrosse fundamentals early (starting with the U9 team)
- Building further continuity as the boys play together for the next several years
The opportunity for these boys to learn together is invaluable!
PLAYING WITH INTEGRITY AND RESPECT
Alpharetta is fortunate to have passionate parent volunteers to coach and lead at all levels within the program. They work hard to build a program built on integrity and respect, and expect this from all players and parents. Our ultimate goal is to ensure the players are having fun, developing their skills and continuing their love of the game.
I look forward to meeting you during any of the upcoming seasons and building our Raider Nation!
